Dear Colleagues
I am seeking to gauge interest within the membership of WSES to form a group of members to aid in the advancement of Emergency Surgery and Trauma in developing and lower resourced countries.
WSES is now the world leader in evidence based consensus statements and recommendations for a large range of acute surgical conditions.
There are resources limitations in many areas that can affect the level of acute surgical care.
A proposed group in WSES would look at a number of ways to support emergency surgery in these environments.
If you are interested in being involved please contact me via email (frank@arkpacific.com) so that we can form the nucleus of a group that can have something ready for the next WSES meeting in Rhodes in the middle of the year.
